Yep. I had the same problem with waxoyl on those lower rubber strips.

I found if you clean the waxoyl off with white spirit/panel wipe and allow to dry they resume their normal shape/flexibility after a few days.

Good stuff. I use it. Pretty much said already. Just give the car a thorough clean afterwards. :y
