If it's true that he assaulted his colleague for half a minute then his employers had no alternative but to sack him.  ::)

What is interesting is what he will do next, will May and Hammond go with him and will Top Gear carry on and in what guise.  :y

Not sure it will survive without him ..... & as the report suggests, will James & The Hamster stay without JC?  :-\

I can understand the action by the BBC and I do not condone his reported behavior; however, just for a moment, think how you would feel after working a long hard day and not able to get a hot meal at the end of it, would you then question the arrangements made for you............... :)

I think that Top Gear will live on and it's time for change anyway, as it's been stale for some time now.  ::)  :(

How about Guy Martin as the front man with a younger team which includes some totty!  :y

yes would question it .  wouldn't spend 30 seconds physically assaulting the staff though.

It happens. ::)

Thing is, there's been nothing by word of complaint from the alleged assultee, who has kept his head down. That kinda suggests it was 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other, it was a beer-fuelled spat between mates/colleagues on the ssip after a day's work and they shook hands and made up once it was over or that it was nothing of any consequence in the first place.

Had he pressed charges or complained to BBC management then Clarkson clearly would have to go. In the apparent absence of this, I'm tempted to think that the Guardianistas at the top of the BBC got wind of it, extracted the story from someone who witnessed it and have held it up as a perfect excuse to do what they've been wanting to do for years. ::)

No more than an internal spat. They probably went for a beer later that day.

Article says, iirc, that Clarkson reported himself to BBC bosses. Allegedly. After a 30 second assault.

How they know that though.... :-\

I must say, if somebody took away my hard earned steak and chips, I wouldn't be too happy either. ;D
