Doesn't the BBC only have the rights to top gear until September as they are owned by JC and the exec producer :y

Wilman and Clarkson sold their shares to the BBC following May and Hammond's complaints about unfair reward. The shares were sold for 'an undisclosed sum' a while back.

Boris put himself forward. That would be so funny.

I thought it was for a limited time only...3 years...if so they all could go to the highest bidder

Top gear needs a woman's input on things and to keep a bit decorum on the show  ::) When a woman drives we all pay attention  :P

I would love to be at the BBC recruiting 3 replacements.

Just one test would be who had the balls to drive something like an old Healey 3000 with vague steering ,the fastest.

The show needs at least one woman and one young person.

Life could be breathed into tired formats with things like an ordinary member of the public in a reasonably priced car.

I know my thoughts are opposite to virtually everyone on here, but I am entitled to my say....

Can't stand the bloke, can't stand Hammond even worse. Can't stand the programme. Hate it, hate it.
Just about tolerate James May....

Wow...I feel much better now :y

You are not alone. He is an utter egotist, and I shall be glad to now watch the programme again. ;)

And if it does it'll have turned into a "car show" like fifth gear, and won't be worth watching :(

And didn't that get cancelled until it came back in its current form?
