Towbar recommendations for a facelift MV6
« on: 07 June 2009, 22:33:37 »

Hi all, I have just become the owner of a caravan after a very wet weekend camping! Any info or advice on a good towbar for a 2000 MV6 would be appreciated. Been looking at the new towbars with invisible mountings - anyone got one fitted, and can anyone recommend anywhere to get one fitted in the Nottm \ Derby area.
thanks, Kev,

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

got mine in the for sale section on here. They come up quite often as far as i can see. Couple of types for the saloon. Mine has a flat plate bolted to the boot floor under the carpet. No good for fitting a large lpg tank behind the rear seats as you need a flat floor, my tank is in the spare wheel well so thats ok. It also has a swan neck which can be unbolted if needs be. But is also cheaper than a removable item. Did have to trim the bumper a bit though.
If you need the boot floor flat then there is a type that has a bar under the fuel tank. Hth
