Swmbo had some lamb shanks from Waitrpse last week. They were expensive and crap. Wouldnt shop there again.

And I had some fillet steak. Almost as good as Aldi and cooked to perfection.  They were a present from.the in laws.

We don't go shopping at all now & it's great ! Everything delivered to our door + we're spending less by not picking up items we don't really need ..😃

I can see no sane reason why anyone would shop at Aldi/Lidl.  Mix with the great unwashed, and queue forever to pay for it.  Then still even up at Tesco, because Lidl/Aldi sell SFA.

They have some good offers on tools :y

And there's me with a carefully weighed out bowl of bitesized shredded wheat, skimmed milk and a cup.of decaffeinated coffee.

Still started lockdown at 15 stone.  Now 13 stone 3 lbs

You've not seen TB with a tow pole have you?  ;D

anyone who has never towed a car would be better using a rope. Rigid poles can easily do a lot of damage to both cars, especially under braking; rope will just snap, which is what you want if something goes badly wrong. It's been twenty years but the Trabant Incident, when we towed one 2 miles with a steel wire, is the most scared I've ever been in a car.

Finally, screw-in towing eyes are not really meant to tow the car, so do a proper evaluation if considering it. If you can't get the pole or rope parallel with the centre of both cars, DON'T USE THEM AT ALL!!!!

I've towed and been towed on a rope and a bar
just requires caution, common sense and good signaling from BOTH parties .
only towed or been towed out of danger though (live lane or away from a junction etc )
as for moving a car any distance ,that's what recovery trucks and trailers are for IMO

hence I have RAC with car insurance, AA with bank account and Auto aid  ;D
I also check I've got fuel, 5 good tyres ,working lights etc before driving  :-X

What is it about Northerners that leave them completely devoid of the ability to process sarcasm?
