Engine dash warning light
« on: 11 November 2007, 14:58:06 »

whilst travelling at 100mph+ on the (auto bahn) for a length of time the engine warning light comes on if i ease off, it goes off again not that worried as it comes off and ive had no side effects for the last 6 months. how ever was wondering what it is showing and if it could be giving me pre warning off a small problem which could turn worse.

i did think of driving slower but quickly forgot that idea.

Do the paper clip test and post up the results, and we can go from there. :y

done the paper clip test and showed nothing except and rpm fault which i believe is normal without engine running, not done it whilst the light comes on as the polizi might have something to say.

the full code was 12, 59, 31
the warning light comes on at different times ie the harder i drive the quicker it comes on and if i drive quicker again in a short time after easing off it comes on sooner,
