« on: 10 August 2008, 19:47:11 »

hi all
im thinking about fitting a tow bar to my omega and am wondering if once fittted it needs to checked out at MOT for maximun weight allowed for it, as there is a space for this on the V5 and after this does the V5 need amending or can i just fit it and crack on??

tow bar has nothing to do with MOT or V5...

Unless the leccy connectors are very very bad, (earth/connections) and affect engine running. (idle)

If you have the owners handbook look in there it will tell you the maximum weights of trailers either braked or unbraked you can tow and also the maximum noseweight that can be put on the towball.
Also make sure the electrics socket is wired up as per the instructions.
