I am a long time member of TotalCarlton site but it seems to be down so I am asking members here for help. GSI Carlton windows stopped completely. No clicking or anything from the motors. Checked both fuses in the fuse box No19 and 20 both are fine. Repaired the red power wires on the passenger side floor 2 thick ones into 4. Getting full power there and also at the motors. Replaced the centre consule switches for known working ones but still no good.

anyone come across this before

Omega General Help / Re: Lowering Omega Elite are rear
« on: 21 May 2019, 23:21:13 »
The self levelling for the rear is on the right hand side of the rear axle, not the wishbone.  :y  You can pop the arm off the ball to experiment with heights, but I wonder why it's not going to the correct height.  :-\
I can remember posting the floor to wheel arch measurement a while back but can't recall offhand what it should be.  ::)

The Omega doesn't have a rear axle. It uses independent rear suspension. So which wishbone does it connect to?. It is going to the correct ride height but I want to down to the same as the front.

I swapped out the original elite springs for mv6 ones but this had left it higher than the elite ones. Any other ideas on getting the rear down.

Omega General Help / Lowering Omega Elite are rear
« on: 18 May 2019, 22:42:36 »
What is the best way to lower my Omega at the rear. It had the air shocks which makes is sit very high. I want to keep these shocks in as they are so comfortable. I read somewhere before about bending the level rod attached to the O/S wishbone, but I can't remember which way. Anyone?

Omega General Help / Re: AR 35/25 Slushbox Identification ??
« on: 30 April 2019, 23:07:19 »
Hi all
is there any way of identifting between the AR 35 & the Ar 25 WITHOUT looking at the ID plate ?    Car is 2001 2.6 CDX auto so would have had an AR25 from factory.

The ID plate seems impossible to view from under the car as it seems to be behind the selection mechanism.

Just wondering as  I found a list of jobs to be done from the previous owner when clearing the loadspace out.  Fit AR35 was ticked off along with fit 2x rear wheelbearings & full cambelt /tensioners change .

Filters, oil change, cam cover gaskets were listed but not ticked.   :-\ :-\

So basic question is  . . .can you identify an AR35 just by looking at it from under the car?   :-\ :-\ :-\

Yes you can tell easily from the colour of the ID plate. Blue plate is AR35 and yellow plate is AR25. Let me know how you get on.

think it was mentioned on another thread

Beautiful Omega, seen it on the Autobhanstormers website. What was the story on the MK2 SRi 130 in the back ground in one of those photos of your car?
