Has anyone seen Andy Murray announcing his retirement? What an embarrassing twot he is. Can't see Djokovic, Federer or Nadal carrying on like that.
He probably only made about £20,000,000 or so.

Nothing to do with the 80 odd arrests in Spain for tennis fixing then... ::)
-
Never a fan.
Too busy being a mangina and worrying his little head about equality for women in tennis.
With women getting the same pay as men for playing 3 sets at Wimbledon instead of 5 it seems the girlies are doing just fine. :-X
-
I wonder if TheBoy will develop a tribute to him, in order to keep "Tim" company? ;D

No.

Not a fan then?
Most successful British sportsman?
Had to work at it, not a natural.
Any other country and folk would be patriotic and rooting for their man. Spanish love Nadal and Alonso. Listen to their F1 commentary and you would think Alonso was winning every race.
Sad fact of life is we Brits are very critical of our own countrymen. Strange and fairly unique trait.

Yes, we do seem to vilify our sports stars, Beckham, Froome, Hamilton et al. As for Murray, he seems to have been a lot more approachable over the last few years of his career, whereas he was a total knob in his early days. As for him being the best British sportsman ever, which was being touted on Jeremy Whine on Chan5 this morning, surely that depends on which sports appeal to each individual person. Yes, Murray has done BRITISH sport proud but so have any number of our champions through the sporting spectrum.

I'm not debating whether he's a great sportsman or not. No doubt there are those in the sporting world that think the sun shines out of his arse. I'm saying he is a total embarrassment for carrying on the way he did at that interview.
-
Seems to be the norm. now for sports stars to have a good blub in front of the cameras. Bunch of bloody snowflakes. :-[ ;D

Nah, as much as I don't think I'd like him if ever we met, he is a sportsman, and was eager to win.
Henman on the other hand was universally useless. No true desire to win, probably thought if he whined enough, he'd win by default. A pointless pain in the arse. Hence "Tim".

Well I just watched it and ..............it was utterly cringeworthy , the man would bring tears to a glass eye .
I'm a Scot too but found he was the dourist sportsman I ever encountered , he never looked as if he was enjoying it .
No loss .
Next .........

I thought he was British when he lost but Jockanese when he won ::) ::) ::)
-
I could not believe my ears when they referred to him as English on the news.

No countryman of mine. ::)

I really think he should have got over all the self-pity in private first.
Yes, he's had to end his career earlier than perhaps would have been his desire, but he is a sportsman who has reached the top of his game, earned a knighthood and no doubt millions of pounds along the way. A bit of gratitude to those who got him there no doubt by pandering to his every whim since childhood and some recognition that, in an age where many are on the poverty line, he's been incredibly fortunate in life, might have put him in a better light, IMHO.

So you think he's a knob Kevin? ;D

Lead story on the BBC news last night.
We have death, famine, war, and natural disaster. But the lead story is about a surly bloke who knocks a small ball across a net and gets paid millions.
Perspective. :-\

In rugby (and everything else for that matter) the Welsh, Scots, and Irish all have one thing in common. They all want England to lose! In local pub everyone supports whoever is playing against England ::) but in a nice way (Hmmm well nice-ish)

If I were Irish, Scottish or Welsh, I would hate the English too.

I don't understand that attitude tbh. Im not English, and I see no reason to hate the English.
I do hate you though. :P

No doubt, and I don't have much problem with that. I will gladly support any rugby team playing against the French.
He clearly sees himself as Scottish, not British and so do I, I'd no sooner support him than I would Federer, Nadal, or Djokovitch (CBA to look up any of the spelling for that).

As a 'neutral'.... ::) ::) ::)
Intensely dislike gunting morons with a wooden framed, gut strung bat in their hands & also dislike English hating winger Murray, so good riddance. :y :y :y

Murray is and always has been the ultimate 'mummy's boy'
Mummy tells him to jump and he asks how high.
