Need more info than that... System type. Make and model of system. Any other symptoms? Just started or been like it all along?

I would hazard a guess that it can't supply enough gas, but there are many potential reasons for that which full info would help diagnose ;)

It's a stag system on a 2.6 no other symptons and has been like it for a while now only happens when I get on the dual carriageway or motorway. I have checked the coolant flow and no problems all connections are new and tight, no problems in the wiring that I can see just need to try and find out why it switches back to petrol at 60 and above :y

You need to get it plugged in to see what's going on. Do we know who fitted it? Has it always done it?

Very odd. So if you red line it at say 50 in second gear, it's fine?

It was fitted by me following the guide. if I red line it it will be ok until it hits 60mph. and it has always done it it has been plugged in and came up with coolant flow which I checked on Friday and made sure it was all working properly, its just starting to get on my nerves now and if I can't fix it or get it fixed I think I will have to pull the whole kit off as it is a waste of time having it on if it ddoes not work correctly. thanks

When you drop back below 60 does it switch back to petrol on it's own?

Not until it goes below 30 or if I come to a stop and it is ticking over it will change back to gas :y

I wouldn't be surprised if the coolant has been plumbed in the easy way. I.E. the wrong way.

Ok. What vaporiser is it? And have you plumbed the coolant feed from before the HBV?

Vapouriser is a kme and the coolant feed is plumbed from the back of the block to a t piece and into the vapouriser then back from the vap to the return pipe on the hbv if that makes any sense
thanks :y

In that case it could be underrated. But it doesn't sound like that is the main problem.

Next time it does it, see if you can get stopped somewhere safe and pop the bonnet - the vapouriser should be hot to the touch, uncomfortably so. That's a simple test. I think you will need to get your lead and laptop out ;)

Does it give any warning bleeps when switching back?

the vapouriser will burn if you touch it and I get no warning beeps only had one set of beeps once and that was three beeps. I will take the car for a long run on gas and then get on the bypass and get some speed up and pull into the first layby and check the vapouriser again thanks for the help :y

Worth checking the temperature of the tank while doing this too. If it's getting very cold, likely the dip tube has fallen off, or some muppet has installed the tank upside down, and the liquid is boiling off in the tank instead of the vapouriser. You'll get exactly these symptoms.

Yes, driver for lead.

Version varies dependent on whether it is a 300, 300 Plus or 300 Premium. Also on what Firmware is on it already.

If you look in Device Manager on the PC, the LPG cable should appear as a COM port under "Ports (COM & LPT)" when it is connected. If that doesn't happen, then the device driver has a problem.

Once you get that far, the LPG software should find the ECU automatically, but you can set the COM port number in the software to force it to use the correct port.

If it still doesn't find the ECU, then I'd suggest that the software is the wrong version for the firmware on the ECU.

The earliest Stag 300s were never updated beyond version 1.14.1.0 and will communicate with nothing else. This version is in a separate section of the download page: http://www.ac.com.pl/en/doc/346/instructions-software.

You also need to leave the ignition on for laptop to connect to ecu  :y

Good point. I think the ECU accepts connections for a few minutes after the ignition is turned on, so best to switch on ignition immediately before each try. :y
