has anyone got an assembly order for the fuel pump, my brothers estate has started to leak fuel from the top of the tank around the fuel pump. when we have taken it apart we found a large o-ring in the tank.

should this o ring be between the screw cap and the metal top with the flow and return pipes, or under the metal top ?

cars a 99 facelift 2.5 estate if it makes and differance

Mine have  large flat washers between tank top and pump top plate, I have had many a leak in that region, caused by rust holes in the pump output pipe. I cured these by depressuriing the system and sealing the pinholes with araldite.
