wifes astra broke down any ideas please

hi to all just got call says car won't start has ignition lights but just clicks, could this be battery or starter? as some of you know i am not mechanically bright, thanks 1.8 estate 09 reg thanks

thanks mate can i get back to you managed to find the greenflag cover but at moment not sure what it is but if ok will post when he has look thanks

Sounds like a battery issue, question would be why, but could simply have rolled over due the cold soggy snap... :y

Sounds like a battery issue, question would be why, but could simply have rolled over due the cold soggy snap... :y
  guess could be dampness etc as car sat 2 days done nowt before short drive today

Just ring Green Flag; they ought to be able to sort you out from the car's registration number.


It certainly sounds like a faulty battery as those are all the classic symptoms

many thanks apparently on their way so hope soon she is not a very patient person so glad i'm home thanks to all  :y

thanks to all for advice turns out was battery so got new one and fitted allthough it took greenflag 2 hours to get to her anyway thanks all :y

Yes but I think it is only £ 10.00 not enough for a battery.

sorry for late reply  i stupidly went care of mk hospital after deciding to take the bumpy route down the stairs luckily i don't remember as was knocked out and only woke on backboard in ambulance ,now have really sore face and grazes bumps bruises in various places over my body which is bloody sore, anyway regarding greenflag i got email saying we can have 50% discount for next year guess that depends on staying or not but many thanks for help its very much appreciated
