So for a new tyre has anyone used these .. tyre   :-\

they are awful in wet.. so not for UK :-\

at least go for Nexen or Kumho imo..
Have you actually used them on an Omega Cem or just guessing from reviews? ;)

I have experience of them, as do a few other members (including 2woody) and they work quite well on the Omega, even in the snow ;)

They worked fairly well on the front of the E46 M3, too (previous owner had put them on) in the wet and dry - back was a bit lively thanks to two completely different tyres on that axle, though ::)

one friend used them on Bmw 320 and hate it.. and before posting I checked UK drivers reviews and they criticise wet handling :-X

imo there are better tires for similiar money although not the same cash.. :-\

Just got 4 from there. First impressions, good grip in the dry, no problems in the wet & virtually no road noise

driving slowly , its ok.. :y

but there may be unexpected circumstances that you have to increase your speed.. personally I can not recommend any low performance tire to anyone.. second hand bridgestones, contis, goodyears will be preferable for me..

Well, problem could well bu a tyre that's been run under inflated. Stressed side walls can and do crack and split later in life.

I see alot of cars driving round with half the psi it should have and  the driver blissfully unaware.

Only way to check is to fit the tyre and see it inflated then go over it with a microscope.

Try again... Lost the last post I typed >:( >:(

If you drive within the limits of the roads, weather and (more importantly!) your ability then they are a good tyre :y Not great, but perfectly adequate for most people ;) Admittedly, if you're going to yank at the wheel like you're pulling your plonker in the wet then they may well let go ::) But as a general rule they are sufficient for the capabilities of the wallowy Elite suspension ;) Even in the snow

OK, they're no SC3 or SportMaxx but as a budget tyre they are exceptional ;)

After my last experience with a second hand tyre on the Omega (see earlier post) I'd rather have Alpha's over any of them ;)

cem I've used Alphas on the Elite saloon and the Elite Estate - found grip in dry excellent, wet grip reasonable with progressive break away (not sudden), easily controlled.  Grip in snow ok - good enough to get me up a hill that fwd cars were struggling with (overtook one guy who seemed a bit suprised that I was fairly sideways yet still going up the hill ok!) ;)
