A local school of motoring 1.1 Metro :)

@ Kevin Wood - I succeeded in getting my first points on my licence for speeding in a Maestro 1.6L - was my Dads car, and for some reason my Dad kept getting stopped by the Police for around 6 months afterwards LOL

I learnt in 3 different mk2 Cavaliers; my mother's, and the 2 that the instructor had as he kept getting hit from behind.
He turned up for my second test in a Nissan Sunny!

Did experience a Polo beforehand (did some lessons, then didn't do any more for a few years, as was at Uni) and the first was a diesel, which had a clutch failure, so one week I went in and it was a petrol. Same(ish) cc, pulled away and I swore I was in Vanquish or something!! Ahh the perception of power and speed when you're learning...  Mind you my first go on a dual carriageway I was doing 29.999mph, and insistent that this was 'perfectly fast enough, thank you very much' sweating, wide-eyed and gripping the steering wheel, looking like a recovering Heroin addict in a room full of Heroin.  :D
