No love for the vxr8 of Phaeton? (Neither available in Estate in the UK)

Monaro and VXR8 are overpriced.
They seem to have gone up in value over the last year or more? I was looking at a high miler of 100k for £11,000 at one point. They seem to be 12-13k at an advertised price. More sensible mileage examples seem to start at 14-15k these days in r8 form. :-\

Madness. :-\

People will pay. Hence the prices.

6 litres of 12 cylinder goodness  8) 8) 8)

Yep...10% of the original price sounds good to me.

I like the Phaeton despite it's gargantuan proportions. :y

I actually really like the shape and body  :-X

Better than a 458? :)

No,  ;D

slightly off topic of realistic omega replacements..... im going to go out on a limb and say the 458 is the prettiest ever car. I used to like the Modena 360 but that hasn't aged well in my opinion. still love the f430 and having driven one on a track I know theyre awesome. just got to save up thousands of pounds now  ::)

For me I'm thinking XF Sportbrake jobbie, in black of course. Black Jags always look the best.

But actually me and my other half are thinking more along the lines of the Volvo C30 as an every day 'do anything' car - as per the above post, not an Omega replacement, but what may be replacing it, as daily driver. Hatchback, it's like a tiny estate, it will go down in history as an interesting little thing, a brief glimmer of when Volvo dared to be different, like the P1800 and the 480. Some super-efficient low carbon low-tax engines. Very very safe. And being a Volvo it'll survive thermo-nuclear devices.  :y

I must say, I am unconvinced about the longterm reliability of the Jags :-\

Given someones silence over his parents XF estate, I suspect that all is not as rosy as it looks with the Jag... ::)

If you want a proper estate, then the E Class must be at the top of a very short list... ;)
