I see what you mean. It looked darker in the ebay pics. Pity, I really would like any colour other than silver, although it looks a nice car, so it wouldn't necessarily put me off buying it.

I can answer your questions..... No idea why it is 'titled' Gixers old car? Its MY car, and has been for FOUR years. (Yes I'm miffed.) It IS Oyster. Lumpy tickover? No idea? Had new plugs, new dispacs, timing is correct, as can be confirmed by Mark. Recent history, Member was interested, I put him off when I found some rust at back arches. Local bloke agreed to buy it last Saturday, but wanted to look it over. He runs a small repair garage about a mile from my house. Popped to see him today, he said. 'Yes mate I'll have it, I'll drop round later with the readies'. NO SIGN OF HIM YET ????? MANY THANKS to a forum member who alerted me to the ebay advert, which I knew nothing about.Thinking the car was sold I denied it is 'MY' car that is on ebay. But then I took a look. The bloke has 4 cars to sell, all of which he has got through his work at the garage. I'm off now to check if he has committed any crime, seeing as he has not paid me, nor has any documentation been signed, as far as I am concerned it is still MY car....

Yes BT. By him. Last I knew was this morning around 11am, I popped in to see him and he said, 'OK I'll buy the car, I'll pop round later with the readies'. The bloke who put him on to the car for me, has been in touch this evening and is as angry as me, as the buyer told both of us that he wanted it for himself. I have just read the full advert and there are a few misrepresentations, quite apart from him stating. He is selling it for me. I also told him in no uncertain terms that the LPG needs a temp sensor, NOT what he has quoted... He also quotes that the LPG cuts in when warm etc etc. But it does NOT, as the temp reads colder than actual, all faults were pointed out to him...

Not as far as I know. I wouldn't have known, but a forum member alerted me earlier this evening..

I'm confused...

The car is yours.
It is for sale.
Has the car ever been to that garage for work?
Did you at any point ask the bloke to sell it for you?
Were you only advertising it locally?

Given the number of people here who claim to be looking for that EXACT spec, surely you could have named your price  :-\

What's to say that if he sold it for £1200, that you'd actually see any of it..

Not accusing you... His description clearly stated it switched and ran well on LPG.  ;)

Lazy docker, do you have the cheaper system with the LPG filler drilled into the bodywork or the more expensive setup with the filler cap goes behind the number plate?  ;D

Not accusing you... His description clearly stated it switched and ran well on LPG. OK. He explained to the couple that the temp sensor was suspect and read cool, then on switching to LPG, there was an exaggerated misfire. The couple took it for a drive, brought it back then said. Going for a coffee, we'll let you know. They phoned back and asked, could they put some petrol in and take it for another drive? Back they came, took it for a long drive, came back and handed over the dosh. THIS is my final word on the matter. No idea why I have to justify any of this? Especially considering some of the strokes pulled by members/ex members on here...

I was just amused at his description of the owner:

This vehicle belongs to an elderly customer of mine who is suffering from ill health and is nursing an ill wife and so due to this he wishes to spend no further money on the car, it is priced to sell to help him get some pennies together.
