Another update -

Had exhaust replaced - both rear and mid sections were blowing. However, not made much difference to the running.

It's still running pretty rough, and it seems to be quite rattly at idle - once the revs get up it runs better, but still not perfect. I've tried some Holts Piston Seal after a few people suggested it could be the piston rings wearing, but thats not made any difference  :(

It stalls quite easily too, especially when reversing with the wheel turning (extra load from the power steering?)

I changed the plugs when I put the piston seal in, just in case that would help, but no difference.

Any ideas?

I wonder if you have a vacuum leak somewhere?

As it is a 95 model, and I have the same engine in my Cavalier, does the breather system on your engine have the modification?  the modification is a large box fitted in the middle of the large pipe coming up from the crankcase to the rocker cover.
