P0340 is Camshaft Sensor on 2.2 not O2 sensor . I suggested genuine for camsensor as got non genuine, for the wifes 2ltr and had more problems, which went when got genuine. Genuine can be got on Ebay.
When engine light comes on the engine will go into limp mode, so car will feel flat, as it reduces power. Changing the sensor is not a hard thing to do, even for a novice. And there is a good howto in the maintenance section. Just make sure you get a genuine one, not a aftermarket one, as they can sometimes cause more problems. The wifes 2.0 sometimes plays up when the weather is very hot. But for peace of mind, changing it is the easiest answer.
I was put on that, due to very high blood pressure. I was on it for a week and felt worse than before taking it. Now on Felodipine and Clopidogrel 75mg after breakfast. And Candersartan at night. This combination seems to be working great at the moment. Now been told that it looks like could be having TIA's. And was told the other day, I could also be having small siezures, so no driving for me until proven I am not.
Hi Migv6 le Frog Fan. Thank you for the reply. All the searches I have done, say there are two nuts. That are visible, when you look into the pollen filter area, this is for model years 2000 onwards. I don't know if it is because the car is a 1995 model. But I cannot find any nuts.
Hi Can anyone tell me how to remove the complete filter housing under the scuttle on a 1995 Omega? As it is off the road at the moment, having some TLC. I have tried to clean the years of crap, around the housing. So I can get in and attack any rust hidden, reseal any joints and repaint. All searches show two nuts, accessed from the scuttle area, but they are not on mine. Does the Glove box have to come out to access the bolts or nuts?
Can anyone tell me the size, allen key I need to undo the rear driveshafts, to the hubs. Just to make sure I have all the tools, before I start. Got the nice job of replacing the bearings.
My apologise. I thought you meant undoing the main bolt to remove the pulley When I did the timing on the wifes omega. I didn't own one, so used a torx socket on a sliding T bar to undo them and a socket on another bar to stop the pulley trying to move, then once all loose just the torx socket on a ratchet. Now I have a impact wrench, jobs are so much easier. Would not use it to tighten the bolts back up. If I remember correct, they are about 20Nm?
Pulley will come off, without undoing the crank bolt in middle. The timing mark is behind the pulley. On the end of the crankshaft where the pulley bolts too. You can see it once pulley is off. I just use a socket on a bar, on the big bolt just to give some leverage, to stop it turning as undoing bolts. But agree that a impact wrench is ideal to undo the main crank bolt.
The pulley is held on by the small bolts. I found when undoing them, that a spanner or socket on the big centre nut to push against, as the small bolts were being undone. Helped loads. The big nut, doesn't need undoing to remove the pulley.
Possibly a dirt fuel filter. Maybe fuel pump, should be able to hear it running, if I remember correct there is a filter on it aswell? If you have access to a fuel pressure gauge, see what is happening at the test point on the fuel rail. If you can remove spark plug covers and check condition of plugs.
This would be my first points of call. Someone with alot more knowledge, will hopefully give you some more help.
