BUT..

Women should be allowed nowhere near engines  >:(

Last night I was working on the Estate. Cambelt off, and camshafts locked carefully in position with the cam locking tools - ready for work on the bottom oil seal.

Whilst helping me pack up the tools - SWMBO decides that my timing kit needs to be intact, so she removes the cam-locks from the pulleys, which are right on the point where they would spring back  :o :o :o :o

ARRRRGGGHH!

Thankfully, I was able to whip them out of her hands and carefully get then back into the sprockets without them moving... Phew!

LOL, at least you get help! Mrs TheBoy is great with the tea and bacon bap supplies, but moans if she has to touch dirty tools and engines.....

I get to drive a few when Tech2'ing, obviously I tend not to thrash other people's pride and joy, but my MV6 seems much quicker than any 2.5 manual...

Yup, 2.6 MV6 was available. Nearly bought on 6 months ago from member Effone, but (unsurprisingly) he sold it before I made up my mind - I decision I have regretted ever since :(

If you print off a leaflet on an inkjet, do not stick on a car until you have tested your ink doesn't run when wet and ruin paintwork!

..to have one fitted.

I already have the towbar - many thanks to Big Rod and Bob Dent for rescuing it from Bobs Blue Beast  :y

Its now about to go on Bobs old estate as i send it out to work...now that ive sorted that misfire.

I wont do it myself as firstly i have too much work on and secondly i dont like electrical stuff.

So at what point does a quote to fit my already supplied towbar cross the line from reasonable price to down right rip off.

Nice and easy to do electrical - its the mechanical fitting that worries me.  If you don't need the twin 'caravan' electrics, its mega easy, though I think you may need a relay for the check control.

could this be the reason why ford have droped jag and land rover, next they my drop volvo who knows :y
Its why they have sold Aston Martin (a profit maker), and why they are looking at selling Jag (loss maker) and Landrover (profit maker) as a package. They need capital quick.

do people really think that the rover/MG brand can compete with the likes of ford ,general motors and the likes of toyota, honda ,thats why they have got in to trouble in the past poor marketing and poor products :y
Yes, both Ford and GM are in real trouble.  Now the Rover brand is free of BMW and the debts that they were left with (and free of Longbridge - the thorn in Rover's side for decades), they stand a chance.

and the 75 is front wheel drive don't like front wheel drive,i wish they would just leave the rover die in peace ,RIP rover
They must think there is profit in it....   ....I suspect there is now not under BMW mismanagement (or the debts that this saddled them with)

Do the Omega suffer with any faults.. I think  so. Most cars suffer many faults..Just look at the problems we all have with our Omegas, we put up with them because we like them..

Opinions vary thats why this thread is posted but be honest, The Omega has many faults too.. :y
True....

The ZT will eat more head gaskets than Omega though....
