Looking at a Desmond on Auto Trader and one advisory was "both rear a frame mounts deteriorating".  :-\

Aka rear sub frame mounting points rusting... rear ends of inner sills in other words... ;)

Possibly, but bushings would have been a more appropriate word :-\

deteriorating usually refers to rubber ,
corrosion refers to metal 
for MOT purposes  :y

Yes, it was the wording that made me think that :-\ . Will have a close look when or if i do go down that route. Thanks lads, :y

Rear subframe bushes all day long.

Just checked with our mot guy in work and that is exactly what he would put. They probably have some superficial tearing on the outer surface.
