Omega General Help / Re: Door weather strip removal?

Thanks guys, it was the outer on the rear door and I've just popped it out, it was ridiculously easy. I somehow assumed it would be a lot harder than it was  ::)

Omega General Help / Door weather strip removal?
« on: 04 November 2021, 11:50:11 »
I need to take the seal out on a rear door, I assume it's called a weather strip? runs widthways across the top of door panel and bottom of the window.

Any tips for not destroying it in the process so it can be reused ???

What an odd thread, standout statement for me is   "You could argue that her punishment was a little harsh."

Regardless of make up or dresses if any kid round here is inspired to behave in such a destructive way they'll get leathered, middle class tosh aimed at the bohemian parents of little Tallula's and Tarquin's

Upshot of angiogram were one artery slightly "furred" but no stents required, have to stick with the tablets I was already on for a year.Have a follow up appointment with GP at end of this month, but that's only a phone appointment. Not really sure what any of the tablets do to be honest but I'm on Aspirin,Ticagrelor[which I think do the same thing],Bisoprolol,Isosorbide and Atorvastatin.

Glad to hear there was nothing needing mechanical intervention found  :y, My wife has an Angiogram appointment on 20th so hoping she gets boxed off simlarly

Remove the battery and put the battery off the other car on it to see if it starts then. That will let you know if it’s the battery or not before trying anything else.

You'll go a long way with common sense like that  ;D

General Car Chat / Omega prices
« on: 06 October 2021, 20:28:02 »
As stated in another thread I have a mint 17k prefacelift 2.5 CDX https://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=148673.0
I will need to find it a suitable new home at some point but have not had a clue as to it's worth, I was pleasantly surprised to see this very nice 3.0 Elite pop up on ebay with 33k for 8k, really nice car and hope the seller gets their price. What do you guys think? is the vendor a member here I wonder?

It's the highest price I've ever seen asked for an Omega and certainly more than I would expect to get for mine so am watching with interest to see if it goes, shame it's not an auction!

I'd like to see this type of Demo getting tried around here, they'd likely get a bloody good shoeing

Not that I'd condone any such thing obviously

I think a handy tactic would be to back up 3 old claggy transits right up to the muppets and let them idle away happily into their faces , see how long they'd stay sitting there  :y

Got the Astra the Omega and the Jag all filled up with LPG so I should be ok for a while😀

One advantage I had during the last Fuel farce, no tinker wanted LPG but me so I could drive to the front of the queue which pissed everyone queuing right off
