I just caused some embarrassment on my walk with the dog. As my wife says, I would cause an argument in a telephone box  :-[
On Grimethorpe muckstack, there are loads of lovely conifers that have been growing for about 20 years, just starting to look full and smell lovely. They're cutting them down! When I asked why,  I was told they shouldn't have been planted in the first place, they are an invasive species. What about these twáțs who come over on boats? I asked. They're an invasive species, are we gonna chop their fùckin legs off?
Silence. I walked off.

Nearly all of which are young men of fighting age. Where are the women and children and old people? ::)

As soon as they get off the inflatables they unwrap their new mobiles & phone the wife & kids to tell the that they've arrived safely
and will be sending some of their benefits back home, scrounging cu**s.

Once they've got the council house or more likely these days a new build apartment, they can bring the wife, kids, Uncle Abdul Cobley and all!  :-X

It was clumsy talk on Anderson's part and a complete and utter godsend for Labour and their fellow travellers in the corrupt media, who have successfully used it to deflect from Sir Starmer leaning on the Speaker to prevent a embarrassing backbench rebellion on the Gaza vote.

Listening to Vine earlier debate with the dreadful Femi and some other chap who brought up the protest outside Parliament and the intimidation of MP's, Vine quickly cut in saying Oh we talked about that last week.

Well Mr Vine, one thing leads to another and we should keep talking about it and asking why Sir Starmer felt he had to lean on the Speaker like he did.  ::)

Alfa Romeo have made some beautiful looking cars over the years.
Indeed, and most of them handle pretty well as well...   ...when they are working ;D

And not turned to dust.
I believed its all called Italian Character ;D

It's why the Italians thrash their cars, because they don't have much time before they dissolve!  ;D

If you do buy the Catera, you have found the right place for help and advice to keep it in tip top condition!  :y

This garage is probably a lot cheaper if you're looking for something to blow up?  >:D

Yes nice drive.  :)

I've driven Houston to New Orleans on the I10 and then came back on the back roads along the coast, overnighting in Lake Arthur which was cool.  8)

Also driven to Corpus Christi and back in the other direction.  :y Camped the night by a lake in a State Park somewhere in the region. The mozzies were like Spitfires!  :(

Everything's bigger in Texas!  :y

Funny thing.

I was reading this thread and the linked article earlier this evening and the landline rang. The display on the phone said Out Of Area . The only people that phone my landline these days are scammers, elderly relatives and there are a few people I know living overseas who probably only have that number for me. So out of curiosity I answered...

Me: Hello
Caller: Is that Sir Tigger? (Lady with a foreign accent)
Me: Who's speaking please?
Caller: Oh hello, my name is Xxxxx Xxxxxx.  I think you own shares in Xxxxxxx Plc. Does that ring any bells with you?
Me: No not in the slightest. Good night! Hung up.

Thing is. I do own shares in Xxxxxxx Plc, and so there's someone out there who has gone through the Xxxxxxx Plc shareholder records which are in the public domain and have my shareholding details, have my landline number and probably my address etc...  :-\

Maybe they were going to offer me a whopping amount for my shares?  ::)
