there`s a bloke out there with a very similar email address to mine; but must include a hyphen or something. He constantly gets his email address wrong or is he ???
Consequently I now have lots of personal data sent to me like his upcoming easy jet flight details, his mobile fone bills. Hotel rooms he reserves but never confirms because I have hiis reservations sitting in my in-box & not his. I know his mothers maiden name, where he lives & lots of messages from someone called yoyo. she`s not happy just lately cos he never returns her mail. this all started about 12 weeks ago & boy is this bloke busy & constantly on the move. I don`t fully understand how this happening TBH. surely if you mail someone the message gets retuned to the senders email ??? very weird

General Car Chat / Driving licence
« on: 22 August 2013, 00:44:57 »
I`ve finally got my photo d/licence sorted  :y
I set up the government  on-line Gateway portal watsit & paid the £20 on-line fee & got the pre-prepared form back from DVLA within 7 days.
I got my MD to counter sign my mug-shot, filled in the rest of the form & posted it with the supporting I/D docs.
Nothing happened for nearly 2 weeks & then on a Saturday morning I recieved an automated email telling me I had 14 days remaining to return my application or my renewal will be cancelled. >:( At this point I was assuming the worse & my I/D was now probably being sold in West Africa or Eastern Europe. I thought I`d fone somebody on the following Monday, but then realised I hadn`t copied the application form or noted down basically anything.  ???  Anyway come Monday morning, I hear my Jack terrior trying once again to get a fresh postie finger thru the letter box & bingo they`ve posted back my I/D docs & my license will follow within 14 days. So the portal is flawed in someway, cos it didn`t work for me. I finally got the license about a week later.

General Car Chat / new vanquish
« on: 28 July 2013, 22:52:11 »
I tailed along behind a  new vanquish on my bike today , the carbon fibre was twinkling in the sunshine. The lines flow sweetly in what ever angle you view this baby. just realised the vanquish`s rear light cluster mirrors the feathered badge logo. what the hell money do they cost then for a  13 reg in a sort of piano black finish? Very cool car.

General Car Chat / YPLAC
« on: 28 May 2013, 22:52:37 »
YPLAC.....Crude but to the point (google it)
I parked in a multi-storey c/p today with the n/s inches from a side barrier. Got back to the car & someone has neatly boxed in the drivers side. >:(  So I walk down to tesco customer services & ask them to page the driver. Wait 40 minutes & nothing happens >:( Walk back & complain again. Nothing doing. Tesco security are very helpful & do nothing >:( >:( Hour & half later still nothing. wait a tad longer for my brother & his daughter to arrive. It looks impossible, but she can just get thru the rear door opening into the back. As quick as you like she has the drivers seat sorted & a petite 14 year old is backing out one heavy long silver mig.  :y :y

General Discussion Area / accident @ work
« on: 20 April 2013, 23:28:13 »
accident @ work....... well outside the front of house to be honest.
A gang of blokes are ripping out the old orange street lamps & replacing with new.
Got back from running some errands & swmbo has a nice young man sitting in the kitchen with his boots off & one foot up on a stool. A lump of concrete fell out the bucket of a digger onto his foot. This guy is in real agony with the top of his foot going purple & his doppy boss is saying "don`t call 999" . No. we`ll get him sorted. swmbo did some nursing years ago & feels sure his foot is broken. The poor bloke is almost crying in pain. So I tell the gaffer again to dial 999........" nope we`ll sort him" & they cart him off. Why not call for an ambulance? I don`t get it.

General Discussion Area / biking
« on: 11 April 2013, 23:29:25 »
I`ve seen a shorter version of this vid & it reminded me of a biker spotted the other day driving like a complete loon. if you take a bike upto high speeds, weave thru trafffic & tailgate vehicles you will have no sympathy from me when you wipe out. Don`t get me wrong, winding on the power & making progress safely is what biking is all about. The guy that passed me on the M3 was on the hard shoulder @ 130 ish. scary for all involved. This swedish cop video sums it all up really.
