Series 1 XJ12, upgraded with full management and a later four speed auto, as a daily
Caterham 160 for a laugh
Range Rover LSE for when a people carrier is required
Electric Citigo for running around town
large estate for carrying stuff around, Omega, V70 doesn't matter what


The other five would change frequently, as there are lots of things I'd like to try for a while:


24v Capri, Murena, Interceptor, GT6, Austin 7, P5 Rover, Elan/Europa/Esprit, new A110, Hustler 6, Lancer Evo2 or 3, Jimny, Aston V8, Gordon Keeble, hotrods, customs, I might be able to track down the Panther 6 I moved severeal years ago, anything interesting that comes up

I couldn't keep 10 cars permanently. The estate could quite easily be a largish pickup, like the current Ranger, in basic work spec.


I could make a good case for owning just 2 cars: the XJ12, and a frequently changing toy.

I can see that, one really special car and a practical one.

It would be cool to own a Lancia Thema 8.32 for a spell, but you wouldn't want to live with it. Citroen XM v6 likewise. Pug 306 GTi would stay a little longer, as would a 405 Mi16 4x4...

A V6 Xantia could be a keeper.




more for the rotating 5:


C6 is equivalent to a contemporary XJ6(same engine), and would be fun to try.


SM, Birotor GS if you could find one, 2Cv for about an hour, Rancho and rose tinted specs back to when I was 8(I wouldn't end up digging the damn thing out of the dunes with a kid's beach spade though)


Mx5/Mr2/MGF for comparison, although they're all fun
