Omega General Help / Questions
« on: 04 April 2015, 19:11:46 »
Question #1

Can you use solid discs on vented calipers (rear) ?

Question #2

On a V6 model that had vented (rear) discs / calipers would there be any problems in fitting solid discs / solid calipers from say a 2.2

(I know this is considered a downgrade)

Thanks in advance.  :y

Omega General Help / Can someone help me with a part number
« on: 01 April 2015, 20:16:20 »
For the A/C Condenser 'O' seals or whatever they are called for a facelift 2002 3.2 elite.  :y

Had a look in the search bar couldn't find the number.

Alternatively a recommended place to buy them from apart from the VX dealers.

Thanks in advance.

Omega General Help / Parts Advice.

I'm in need of a new condenser (also I'm not sure if it would also be a good idea to also change the dryer at the same time?)

Where would be the cheapest place to buy a decent quality condenser / dryer as of this year? ...Vauxhall want an absurd amount near enough £500 just to fit the condenser, Which at that price is just not an option.

Seen condensers on eBay / ECP for around £120.

Also is there a guide on how to change the condenser.

Thanks in advance.  :y

General Car Chat / Terraclean
« on: 17 February 2015, 19:50:57 »
Just curious if any 'Omega Owners' specifically have had their Omega Terracleaned at all and if there was any noticeable improvements...  :)

Apparently it's around £126 for cars over 2.0L and takes 1 hour.

The service seems to generally get positive reviews especially Diesel cars, Was just curious if any Omegas had been done  :y

General Discussion Area / Android Backup / Restore process
« on: 12 February 2015, 20:31:14 »
Hi all,

I have a smallish issue i'm trying to resolve...  ::)

Since downloading Lolipop 5.0 via Kies 3 my S5 has been somewhat lagging at times / freezing up now and again, But was smooth as silk on KitKat 4.4.2

I contacted Samsung and this is what they had to Say..

That's disappointing to hear. We do recommend to do a factory reset after a big update. Make sure you back up all your data.

So these are my 3 primary questions.

#1: Will doing what Samsung suggested actually make any difference what so ever?

#2: If i backup via Kies 3 does this backup everything like iTunes does on iPhones i.e Does it basically clones the phone exactly the same way iTunes does, settings, history, app placement etc..?

#3: Does Kies 3 backup data from the SD card or do you just remove the SD card before doing the restore?

Thanks in advance.  :)

To backup all the pictures / videos / files etc... From the laptop before doing a factory restore due to it running dreadfully slow.

Was thinking of getting one of these (link below), Any options on which to go for I don't really need one bigger than 1TB the laptop is only a 650GB with around 12GB free space left.
