Another Ex Plod
« on: 09 May 2013, 21:03:01 »

Hi all

Right where to start with this, firstly pics are not great but I will upload more tomorrow

This 2001 ex TVP car, was purchased by the previous owner in 2003 from auction with just under a 100k on, the retired lady that bought it who was in her 60s at the time wanted an auto and this fitted the bill

In the last 10 years she has covered 30k in it,  :), body work wise paint is flat but more or less undamaged all doors are mint, the only bit or rust coming through is a 5p size scab under the arch lip but you can't see it, and 1 of the aerial surrounds. Interior when I collected it yesterday was filthy although having spent an hour giving it a quick clean inside bar 1 tiny hole in the drivers seat all is unmarked and almost as new, the carpets are as new with no wear anywhere

It's basically as the day it left the Police

It only has MOT for 2 months, but no knocks or anything and seems perfect. I will be replacing the brakes in the next week just in case

Bad bits no ashtray, desperate for a service, and cam belt is overdue on age, EML is on but the lady advised it was on when they got it and it is the typical 3.2 cat sensor

Anyway with almost a full tank of fuel in it, and me £400 lighter here it is

Believe me the pics don't do it justice  :)

looks well tidy, great job, most TVP are manuals, last time I bought a car from a elderly Lady, she only used it on Sundays!...........to go Banger racing.  :y

Yep £400 with nearly a full tank in it, I have never. seen an Omega with a full tank before so thought the gauge was broken  ;D ;D

I've been surfing the net looking for pics of it from the plod days although having difficulty  :y

Spent most of the day cleaning it, still needs another few coats of sealant

Anyway the previous owner found out all the old receipts and MOTs for me, along with the bill of sale from TVP, it had a cdr 2005 fitted by vauxhall in 2006 for £293 so got all the receipt, booklet and pass key for it  :)

Also had all its plod print outs up to 29k ago,

They gave me key ring plate thingy from its plod days which is quite unique I guess  :y
