Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Brake Light Warning Message
« on: 05 November 2022, 15:46:46 »
Past week or so "warning rear brake light message " has appeared at regular intervals on display.

All 3 brake lights are working as they should and nothing has disturbed them recently.Bulbs are probably 1 + years old,so will replace both lower ones but any idea why message has recently started appearing

The plastic veins snap or the centre weight becomes detached and causes it to run out of true and catch against the outer casing

Look on Page 3 at the bottom in the "Maintenance Section" on the forum ...its a clear concise guide with pictures of the total removal proceedure.

Totally agree with DG,

My 3.2 has covered 245k ..178k in my ownership and still regularly covers 100+ miles most days for work. From memory has had coil packs twice/HBV also twice and gets coolant fully replaced every 2 years and is also still on original oil cooler and HG,s.

Still runs like a well kept watch too  :)

Email notification from BG this morning letting me know that from 1st October my dual fuel bill will change from £3970 per year which last year was £2685 to £4946

Thats a year on year increase of + £2261 or 84% ...Time to start burning trees I think  :'(

Mine had a very thin strip of foam rubber...as it perished a while ago now replaced it with a new piece in hardware shop just like draught excluder strip but weather resistant...been there for past 4 years without issue.

Even with the Omega I tend to drive full wheel over the top of 1 and let the other go between on flat ground.Yes a real PITA as requires compliance from oncoming traffic and at the speed I go over them tends to really p*** over anything behind but with the weight I carry in the boot exhaust bottoms out if I try and straddle them.

I hate any form of traffic calming as it just encourages most to use them like a slalom course.
