Personally I would strip the 2.6 and keep the DTi.
Driving home from work this morning I arrived at the same conclusion.
Bad Points
1. Fuel tank in the 2.6 is now running very low (can't say just how much) as the gauge keeps going on and off
2. Handbrake lever only holds when it wants too
3. I think the rear springs or shocks have gone as it's arsenal is lower than an ants rear end
4. Diff is spilling out its contents (oil) from its nose
5. Needs all new front wishbones and bushes, droplinks and track rods and then full set up.
Good Points
1. Has new Vauxhall cam belt kit and water pump (fitted by me only weeks ago)
2. New yes new CCR2006 with code (again only a few weeks old) not Bose.
3. Stag 300+ LPG KIT (reason I got the Mig in the first place)
4. Both level sensors work
5. 4 good tyres on CDX rims which will fit the DTI.
Most of which can go on the elite ( not the head unit) when needed.
OK we're is my tool box
