Nope He treats it like every other car..

Although I have done the "rev it, hold it, kill it" thing - it's a very odd sound listening to the engine spin down from 4000rpm with no load and no ignition.. sounds exactly like a turbine slowing.

The RX8 is the devil in disguise, Aaron.

It's waiting for a cold dark January night before demonstrating just how demonic it can be. 

Be afraid.....be very afraid.

PS ....is it still running  the original low compression lump?

Yep, still running the lump that needs a rebuild - I need a Saturday with more than just me available to drive it down there (otherwise getting back from Alton is a pain in the backside on the train).. soon, though, it'll be off for it's rebuild.

£2000 ish....but I think it will be worth it for the look on young Amy's face the first time she hits the 'beep'.

The power delivery of the RX8 always reminds me of a  quick two stroke bike from the 1970's.
