Fuse for Puddle Lights and Courtesy lights
« on: 14 October 2014, 19:23:03 »

Hi there.

Finally booked car in for rust bits on bottom of rear door and catch the start of rear wheel arch lips.

I am looking to temp disable rear Puddle Lights and Courtesy lights when in.

What fuse would it be to pull ?  I remember blowing one years ago when I change the drivers puddle light, but cant recall which fuse it was in the fusebox by drivers side ???

thanks in advance.

Andy.

(I'll post pic when all rust bits nice and shiny  :y)

That has got me confused   :o

#7 suggests Windows ?  (mine is last of the Mini Facelifts - Registered I believe 99 - ex vauxhall management fleet car, so prob sat in field for a bit !!!)  I assume therefore its in the 96-97 cars category ?

#12 is Courtesy light but linked to Radio and I don't recall when I blew last fuse needing radio code ???

I shall pull fuse #7 and see what happens   :D (assume that puddle lights take supply from elec Window supply in door then if thats the case !

I am looking to temp disable rear Puddle Lights and Courtesy lights when in.

It was fuse 20 in the end for puddle lights !! :D (Heated rear seats, electrically operated rear window blind, central locking system)

Then had to learn how to put code back in radio as I pulled that one first  :-[   Luckily all in handbook  :y And then start car and turn off as Central locking not worked until system re-learnt key I guess ?

All is well again now  :y
