Hi Guys and Girls,
Im sure it been asked before, so sorry for repeating but can you retrofit Cruise Control in a F/L 2.5TD Auto?

Yes, and from memory you only need a stalk, it should already be active.
-
..... and .... IIRC ..... it's a specific diseasal cruise stalk.

would a stalk from a 2.2dti be okay as the 2.5 limits my search slightly ;D

Pretty sure it has to be compatible with the BMW bits so no :-\
Pm TB (who had one) or MarkDTM if you need a quick response Sam :y

after speaking to one of the guys at Vauxhall he has said there are 2 variants listed for the 2.5td can someone advise me which one to go for - he said on the yellow sticker on the stalk it would end BM or BK
BM is still available under part number 9181014
however BK is no longer serviced so would be what stock we could find around the world - part number 9181012
Can anyone advise which one i should be looking at, my logic is that one could be for Manual and one for Auto, but i could be wrong?

Technically there are two types of 2.5td... UK only got one of them, that is probably the difference :-\

You need the specific 2 wire ones for the BMW 2.5TD not the 4 wire type, from memory when I did this, the item number ending 14 is the 4 wire one and the number ending in 12 (this one) is the 2 wire one.
Also not all 2.5TD had ECU Cruise enabled, having said that most did, at least in the UK.
I also just tried to post a link to an older thread but think I messed that up. ::)

From memory, 4 wire ends 11, 2 wire ends 12... ...though parts may now have been superseded.

I think all U25DT and X25DT had cruise enabled. That covers all UK spec 2.5TD engines. The Y25DT was never available in RHD, and I'm not sure if its enabled or not on that donk.

i have ordered the 9181014 as a trial as this is the more available part, if the connections match ill try it on the road and see what happens :y

Got a 2-wire one here, genuine Vx still in bag.... :)
