Omega General Help / Radiator question
« on: 28 November 2013, 08:51:09 »
Hi guys, I just got a good used radiator of a omega donor...It was 2.0 miggy, but it seems it's a bit different from my miggy's radiator. I added a pic so you'll see it.
I need to know, should I cover those two empty threads on plastic side on the left or is it ment to be used for something important?

Omega General Help / Coolant leak
« on: 28 October 2013, 03:17:20 »
Hi guys, my miggy has a quite major collant leak on the big upper hose where it connects to radiator. The plastic part which goes into the hose isn't cracked so I believe it could be a clip a bit "tired" after all this years. Can I try to replace it with a jubilee clip? I know it should be flexible clip but is it worth trying?
Thanks, Stan

Evening guys, I just bought a pair of brand new lower suspension arms, for 110 euros, which is a very good price IIRC, going to replace them tomorrow, should I take it to geometry setup after?  Thanks, Stan

Omega General Help / 2.0 missfiring at low rpm

Hi guys, still having this problem here....Idling at 800 rpm nicely, when pressing gas pedal it chokes for a second, revs fallind to 600, then revs higher well.
Changed oil today, filter and spark plugs - made no difference. IACV cleaned, throtle assembly cleaned - still the same. Found some oil in plug wells (3rd cam gasket till now) and got eml on yesterday after good flooring - code 0130 - O2 sensor, but it's not on today.
Made two videos so you can see what bugs me  http://youtube.com/watch?v=bd0xUY_Y5wI

Omega General Help / 2.0 acceleration problem
« on: 03 September 2013, 14:53:36 »
Hi guys, it has been a while from my miggy's last problem but a new one appeared - it's really PITA.
When changing gears up and flooring, it doesn't accelerate instantly, feels like there's something choking the engine for a moment, only after a second it starts to accelerate.
There's also a silent whistling sound coming from engine bay - it can be heard with windows open when floring it - like there's a turbine suction. Possible air intake leak somewhere?
Can anyone help me with this one?
ICV was cleaned today, also throtle valve. Car is manual.

Omega General Help / Coolant leak
« on: 29 June 2013, 10:55:11 »
Hi guys, my omega is having quite a huge coolant leak and it's not the faulty HBV.
Coolant leaks when engine is cold, don't know what's hapening when hot, just found coolant dropping somewhere on the edge of radiator and found some coolant still leaking now somewhere from "engine"....see it comes down from above oil sump  :( Could it be water pump leaking? Was changed 45.000 km ago.
About 1 liter of coolant is wasted every 200 km, maybe it's even worse.
Does anyone know for some well known leak on 4 pot lumps, beside HBV ?

And a "signature" of my omega following me everywhere

General Car Chat / Your opinion about this one?
« on: 20 June 2013, 21:49:42 »
Don't bother with translation, says it has 260.000 km covered, driver's seat is in bad condition , headlight washer is gone aparently...not a tidy example but it's hard to find any better  :( It will probably stay on sell forever due to V6 lump which isn't popular around here so I'm not in a hurry.
