What a brilliant day. A big thank you to everyone there. I was a bit busy doing my cambelt so i did'nt get to say hi to a lot of you but what a great bunch of people, always willing to help. Big thanks to Berty (i think thats was his username (memory not what it used to be - too much booze when i was younger). He's the guy with the spotless White 8 valve Miggy. He did most of the work. PM me please mate...

Anyway, i cant wait for the next meet and i wont be so busy next time so i'll help out a lot more.

Many many thanks :y :y

Hi you lot.
I'm bringing, Trolley jack, axle stands, tool box's, rags, rubber gloves, BEER (for you helpful people later), hand cleaner, bog rolls(just in case) anti freeze (waterpump replacement) bit of cash for tea and buns..

i dont mind rolling my sleaves up and getting my hands dirty. i'd like to strip down my own engine ready for cambelt etc..(as long as someone helps me out) never done a V6 belt before.

Also been told, i'm bringing daughter (wife thinks i'm off shagging for the day) dont worry she loves cars/engines/bacon butty's and tea. Sure we can find her something to do.

See you all there

General Discussion Area / Autobahnstormers Trade Card
« on: 31 January 2008, 11:56:13 »
Just got my trade card from Autobahnstormers and saved nearly 90 quid already. its makes a big difference if you've got a lot to bits to buy
here'a list of some parts i've just bought with both retail/trade card prices;

10w40 vauxhall semi-synthetic (2 gallons) 45.00/19.02
oil filter (2.6 Y26SE engine) 4.76/3.34
Full cambelt kit. 124.00/97.18
Aux drive belt (with aircon) 29.75/21.96
water pump. 40.70/21.96
pack of 6 plenum "O" rings 11.55/9.11
All prices are plus vat

As you can see, with the trade card i'm saving loads of cash.
Worth the 20 quid membership fee to join Autobahnstormers i think.
Just go to www.Autobahnstormers.co.uk if you want to get yourself one

General Discussion Area / Re: Car and audio manuals
« on: 14 May 2007, 14:47:48 »
:D :y :D Hi STM0123 and many thanks for the link to the vauxhall website. I have a 2002(January) and was having a couple of electrical niggles with her. I just thought i'd download both Omega manuals and compare some of the differences. Thier are quite a few. I had trouble getting my interior lights to come on.(wouldn't work at all. Just happened to notice in the fuses section of the 2 manuals that the courtesy light circuit was fuse 12 in the june 2002 (same as my manual) but it was fuse 7 in the later October 2002 manual. I promptly checked fuse 7 and it had popped(dont know why). Put a new one in and hey presto. I have lights and as an added bonus my ultrasonic sensors are now working as well.
I must have the later harness in mine i guess. Goes to show its worth having both manuals just in case.

Once again many thanks

Mark t.
