As per subject,
Got an as new, still in the packet lemforder driver side wishbone, Pagid handbrake shoes and a lemforder steering idler.

Might have rear pads and vented discs but I'll have to check!

Make offers on the above as they'll be sat doing nothing so!

Thanks
Alex

As per subject,
I'm weighing my 2.6 estate in at the weekend so the Elite alloys have been taken off.

In really good condition but with paint bubbled/flaked off in the bolt holes, come with tyres although two are a bit knackered (one budget tyre goes down and another is worn on the outer edge) - two tyres are decent brands but all are around 4mm tread maybe 3.5 except as described on the edge for example

Can post pictures if needed and check tread depths + tyre brands etc if needed

200 ONO

Thanks
Alex

Hello,

I don't suppose anybody happens to know what the distance centre to centre of the bolt holes is do they?

A rather cheap set of corvette brakes has come up and I can sort a disc (rather than the wrong PCD monaro etc discs)

Thanks
Alex

As per title,

A lot of posts from forum members I remember as being on here around the same time as me have quite often got ex member or guest next to their usernames?

Have most people on here gotten rid of the omegas? I bought an estate the other day in not bad condition (arches) as the bodywork is what usually lets them down, just as a runabout but if most of them are going to the scrapyard etc I'm half tempted to keep this one.

Wierdly, I ended up following another omega in a similar colour and similar spec - although saloon instead pretty much the day after I picked this one up!

As per subject,
All 4 are in good condition, 2 brand new pirelli p7's on (literally fitted at the weekend as what was on were illegal) and other two are odd ones, one is approx 6mm and the other is approx 4mm without checking/measuring.

Tyres are 225 55 16 (think they are supposed to be 215 on these wheels but from memory that size are rather expensive.

250 ono - price and dropping them off for anybody is negotiable, pictures to follow. And yes the price is higher but I can always come down.

Thanks
Alex

As per the subject,

Looking for a cheap runabout but must be auto, would prefer something V6 as I still have the cambelt locking tool and a bit quicker and sound better lol, wouldn't mind an estate but saloon would be fine.

Don't mind if there's the usual rust, car park dings, don't mind ex plod either as It may turn into a project car long term.

Thanks

General Discussion Area / Autobox upgrade on the omegas...
« on: 13 March 2014, 15:54:34 »
I don't know if it's been discussed much or properly but has anyone looked at either the 4L60-E or 5L40-E gearboxes? The 4l60 is on such as the Chevrolet blazer and the 5L40 is on the E39 BMW's?

The 4L60 could be a heavy duty alternative or the 5L40 would add another gear (obviously this would be subject to electronic limitations)

Anyway just thought I would ask

from memory very light kerbing etc, pretty good condition.
defo need two tyres (ones down to canvas/wires on inside shoulder from utter cack tracking when i bought the car and the other has inside shoulder wear with minimal tread depth-1.6 to 2.0mm, ones pretty good (4mm ish) and dont think the other is too bad

Cars for Sale & wanted / 51 plate 3.2 elite for spares or repair...
« on: 23 September 2012, 16:31:55 »
hello, i'll post up pics later but basically after £500 ONO (i figured 200-250 for wheels, 350 for the engine and autobox ) then about 80 worth of weight of the shell after for weighing in

engines done 108K no service history but never had any problems till recently which are water leak which im thinking is either HBV or coolant transfer pipe

rear tyre on drivers side needs replacing but other wise wheels and tyres are in pretty good nick with around 4mm all round, they're the facelift elite wheels which a few people like to have

i have the autobox complete (so flex plate, front drive shaft and matching T/C) off the car which had no issues when it was last on the car (its got the crappy r25-28 on it currently)

i will let a timing belt locking kit go with the car so you can either sell it on or use it to do the belt with before flogging it etc

theres rust on the drivers door at the bottom and a dint on the drivers side rear wheel arch

i'm after a CL500 and im not part exing as mot has expired n too much wants doin to part ex it basically plus i need the room because i've got the omega on the drive and i've got a volvo floorpan which needs shiftin to have use of a garage lol!!

thanks

General Discussion Area / carlton powered omega anyone? lol!
« on: 30 July 2012, 00:44:51 »
Hello,
I've had another stupid idea!! :D :o lol! *shock horror!*

this latest, stupid idea is...
buy a manual omega rolling shell (previously v6 with throttle cable)

anyway, buy said carlton 3.0 straight 6 lump, rebuild it, stick it in the omega, use a carlton engine ecu and build the engine up with crank, rods and pistons and turbo it :P same lump as the LC without being stroked and just run less power- still quite alot more than an omega and see where it goes lmao! and dont say "bang" or "backwards through *insert random object*"

Omega General Help / prefacelift vs minifacelift ecu....
« on: 30 July 2012, 00:39:37 »
Hello,
I'm after some info about the connector onto the ecu, i know the facelifts are different and such as gearbox ecu connectors are all different between the different versions but are the prefacelift and miniface lift connectors the same for the engine ecu?

also, on the prefacelift cars, to disable the immobilisor do you just unplug the ecu for it? (i know that the mini facelift is integrated into the engine ecu)

thanks in advance

Omega General Help / rear control arm adjustment...
« on: 03 May 2012, 17:02:26 »
hello, can somebody describe the proceedure to adjust the rear tierods?

obviously you turn the hex piece in the centre but do you have to loosen the 22mm big hexes at either end or are these to counter hold for the centre adjuster hex-so dont move?

thanks

General Car Chat / omega "td"/bmw v12 "td" project...
« on: 29 April 2012, 12:48:54 »
hello everyone, as you can tell from my subject my house must be a lunatic asylum :P
...its not even me wanting to do a v12 project but im considering a rival v12 project to my brothers - dont ask...

to explain the story:

my brother wants to make a kit car which is influenced by the autounion slipstream/streamliner which has a v16/v12.
anyway, the other idiot in the family is considering building a complete engine, to which i told him to stop being a tard - too much work developing blah blah getting it right never mind actually getting it to run AND building a bodyshell/chassis etc for it

anyway, my arguement is use existing engines such as the jaguar xjs v12 lump and work from there, anyway i had a thought, if my brother wanted to "build" a V12 then why not start off with two omega 6cyl straight 6's and take off the crankcase and get a different crank, turn round 180 degrees one of the heads so both exhaust manifolds are on the outside of the engine, run both engine managements parallel per engine and just put all the injectors etc opposite on the head which is 180 degrees then you can have a twin turbo v12 :P or even run it without a turbo or do whatever

thanks
alex

p.s if anybody can suggest a "roughly 3.0 V12 engine" lol then go ahead!
