I need something a bit bigger
« on: 19 April 2019, 18:12:52 »

Thought that would make you look  ;D ;D

My astra is a decent car and I'm very happy with it, but......
I'm starting to find boot space a bit too small for all my stuff. Dog crate takes up almost half of it, then all the doggie bits, walking boots, etc. I'm ok with just a few shopping bags but, when we went up to North Yorkshire for a few days, I had bags on the floor and front seat.

Can someone point me to a diesel, auto estate that is exactly the right size and exactly the right price please.  ;D

How about an Insignificant, (as the dog clearly isn't too big)  :D

Not much bigger, the old shape ones. Don't want to spend as much as new shape. Well, actually, it would be a waste of money for what I'd get. Looking around £6-8K.

Sounds like someone needs to learn how to travel a bit lighter.  ::)

So for a few days away Uncle STEMO all you need is a couple of T-shirts and a dress shirt for the evenings, and then there will be plenty of room for Mrs STEMO's copious amounts of luggage!  :y

Don't bother to thank me.  :)

Despite you being a light-fingered scouser of ill repute I will not make your life more difficult by suggesting any car that runs on the fuel of Satan. :y

I hope you will soon ' see the light '...... :)

What you need is something relatively small with regard to external dimensions, but huge on the inside.

Could Doctor Who be of assistance? :)

Yes, never heard the doctor whining about DPFs or passed him pootling along like an old dear worrying about whether he's still getting 55 MPG, so you're probably right. :y

Saracen armoured car has plenty of space inside. Pretty difficult to set fire to as well.  :y
