Omega General Help / Re: Pipes at rear of plenum...
« on: 27 December 2018, 15:35:05 »
Assuming that the pipes are still a snug fit you can leave the clips off with no ill effects.

The pipes are all under a partial vacuum and get pulled on (rather than blown off) the spigots.
Aah, thanks I didn't know that. One of the pipes didn't have a clip anyway but seemed to be well fitted without it.
I'm a bit of a novice but am always willing to give things a try & they normally work out OK in the end  :)

Gently lift the end with a small screwdriver.
If you do damage the clamp(they're reusable if you're careful) then you can replace them with just about any clamp you favour - mine got cable ties as they're only vacuum hoses ;D
Thanks...I will give it another go then - I have cable ties should they be needed.

Omega General Help / Pipes at rear of plenum...
« on: 27 December 2018, 14:20:51 »
I'm removing the plenum to clean up things as per one of the great guides on here.
There are four pipes at the rear of the plenum which need removing & they have a type of clip I am not familiar with. Fearful of breaking them, how are they removed / undone?
Thanks...

Been NLS for a while... not cheap either, last ones I bought in 2009 were about £6 each :-\
Have managed to obtain a couple from a dealer on the south coast but need a couple more still....ridiculous price like you said  :o

Hi

have you tried places like LMF and Autovaux?
Yes I have....thanks though

I'm needing the 4 clips/clamps for fitting the plastic trim on the rear wing of an '02 estate car.
I think the part no is 9148386.
I have tried several Vauxhall dealers without success.

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm in need of a rear bumper for our estate after an altercation with a brick wall   :o
Z157 star silver ideally, obvs needs to be in good condition.
I am in North Essex but am happy to travel a reasonable distance or could possibly arrange a courier.

Cheers, JD

I have a 2.6 CD auto estate sitting at home. It's in need of an MOT & a few bits & pieces need doing to get one.
It's the ubiquitous silver, a mere 80'000 miles with excellent history including 2 new cam belts.
I advertised it here a while back, the ad is probably still here.
I'm not local to you though.
Send me a pm if it is of any interest.
Cheers.

Cars for Sale & wanted / Any recent intel on discounted parts?
« on: 31 March 2018, 12:51:02 »
I need a new bonnet release cable & new bonnet latch spring.
Which are the best places, if any, for discounted Vauxhall parts?
The information I have seen is quite dated; are there any current suppliers I should try?
Thanks...

Omega General Help / Re: Bonnet release cable removal
« on: 30 March 2018, 12:35:00 »
Thanks mate....actually I have just done it.  ;)
I was right, it does slide towards the back of the car.
The cable was already out but I'm told the new one I have on order is a complete unit...although the cable does come out of the lever like you said,
it also runs through a sleeve which is an integral part of the lever; which means you have to remove the lever too.  :y
