Cars for Sale & wanted / Project anyone?... or spares car.

We have changed our plans - I purchased this to fix up, over a year ago, to have for occasional use / to be left in France but now doing something else.

09/2001 '51' 2.6 auto estate CD. Z157 silver / fantastic condition grey cloth interior.
Usual spec: vgc alloys with good tyres, tow bar, luggage cover, roof bars, heated seats.
No MOT - failed on several items, see failure sheet I will upload shortly.
Along with the MOT items, will also need a rear bumper. Nearside rear door has a scrape along it's length. Cracked mirror glass o/s.
Has had a recent battery, new filters & oil.
Very good service history, cambelt has been changed twice, current mileage 80700
She is in far too good condition to split up in my view but hey!
I will upload some pictures this afternoon.
Please pm if any interest.

Dont forget, if you fit an isolator, you wont be able to unlock the car with the remote buttons on the key, unless it has a small fused bypass, which would defeat the object really, as it would also allow battery drain over long idle periods.
Whatever you do, dont deadlock it and then isolate the battery and close the bonnet, or you'll have fun getting back in.  :'(
You can still Deadlock and then diss the battery, just make sure the key works correctly in the Drivers door, when unlocking all the other doors will remain deaocked untill the battery is conected again, then just re unlock using the Fob or Key again to re sync the locking system.  ;)

Thank you, gentlemen; I had overlooked that aspect of isolating the battery. You could have saved me some furute aggro!

Ron.
That goes for me too!  :y

BH, that was quick! I ordered that isolator yesterday, delivered this morning!
looks quite solid, too, with a post hole on the extension to the terminal, just like on the Omega :y :y :y

Ron.
Marvellous... :y

Electric is the future, it's a no brainer - the fuel volumes are decreasing & electric vehicle numbers will continue to increase.
Adding to the fuel duty can be transferred to electric when the volumes are right - whatever source is used, paying on the basis of how much use something is fair.  :)

So that's what it looks like! I was lucky; a couple of years ago I suffered from blocked skuttle-itis, but no harm done to the hedgehog.
I bet Vx no longer stock them?  :(

Ron.
I had that not long ago - very painful & I think age related?!  :D

Looks more like a model of the alien reactor in Total Recall (the original), to me, really ;D
He he he he! Now I get it - thanks.  :) :) :y
