But I had right of way, She said
« on: 14 February 2019, 17:17:20 »

So, following a Corsa down a Side Street, Cars parked both side on the Road so all a bit tight, then I notice another car pulling out in front of the Corsa, my reaction is to slam the anchors on thinking she was about to do the same, but she didnt she just drove straight into the other Car, in fact I dont remember seeing Her brake lights coming on at all.

So now stopped behind the Corsa, I gets out like you do, no ones hurt, bonus, and in the chit chat, ask the Corsa Driver "I know its the other Drivers fault, but did you not see Him then?", yea, She replied, "But I had right of way, so F@ck Him".

A bit gob smacked I asked the question again, but in a different way, same answer followed by, "Not my fault, not my problem, He pulled out in front of me"

Im kinds guessing that although a slow speed crash both cars will be written off due to age. And we wonder why our Insurance premiums keep going up.  ::)

Silly mare,
may be her right of way but the seconds spent stopping ,waiting for the idiot to pull out ,would have been time well spent ,compared to waiting for recovery, waiting for the insurance to answer the phone, waiting for the insurance to pay out, ages looking for a replacement car , etc etc etc
maybe she'll learn from it ,
don't waste your time being a witness  ;D

Nah. She did the right thing. The idiot who pulled out will, obviously, be at fault and she will get a new banger out of it. She might even develop PTSD and a sore neck.  ;D

That's exactly what would have happened over here .
There is a splendidly named publication freely available over here called " The book of Quantum " .
This is the claimnents bible listing the sums available dependant on which catogary of injury you fall into.
For a declared whiplash injury with no visible evidence and only the claimnents word that they " shure I'm in pain see  " the windfall is circa €15000 .
If they tease it out to impact on their work or mobility they are on the pigs back ......

Neck injuries
Up to €14,400 – Minor whiplash neck injury – good recovery within 12 months
€11,500 to €17,400 – Moderate whiplash neck injury – substantially recovered within 24 months
€15,900 to €64,500 – Significant ongoing whiplash injury
€59,400 to €78,400 – Severe neck whiplash injury (serious and permanent condition)
https://www.lawyer.ie/personal-injuries/compensation-calculator/
No wonder our insurance premiums are laughable .

Im with STEMO on this. Im sick and tired of tossers who just drive out in front of me knowing Im unlikely to stay off the brakes and drive into them.
I would love to have the funds to have an old Hummer or similar with bars all around it, and then just drive into them/ through them/ over them...…. 8) ;D

The trick is to not let them get too far out, so you can hit them square on the drivers door.  :)

I want to do it on a daily basis,
Especially to numptys who think just pulling out from a slip road in front is acceptable, or school run mum's blocking roads, the list is endless...

And breath.

Get yourself a pickup and fit a truck horn.  Fewer people do this kind of shit and those who get a blast of 150 decibels often carp themselves ;D

They still do it,  a quick blast of the horns normally gets a polite wave, or they drop the phone.

He said, she said.

Zirk saw the car pull out from immediately behind and expected heavy braking. She could reasonably argue that the car was immediately in front of her and that she had minimal time to react.

Plus, she was afraid, if she braked suddenly, that zirk may take her from behind.  ;D
