Hopefully I'll be on a motorway somewhere miles away from any anyman/womenforhimselfpreorganisedfight shopping centre!
Some hopes  ::) ::) ::)

Hacked off with the sales.  Was looking to purchase a 27/28" 4K monitor because I am getting fed up of using the TV as a monitor.

Been trying to pick up a Dell P2715Q Not the best monitor on the market)  Ebuyer discontinued, Dabs I have to fill a form in to get it price matched

Debenhams are cheaped so far at £425 but no mention if its a 3 year warranty

Asus PB287Q Ultra HD is my other choice, £359 at Debenhams, waiting for price match at Dabs and Ebuyer wont drop from £390.65

Was trying to stick under £400  :-\

Other option by a 4K tv (But that blows the £400 Budget)  ::)

I've ordered a 32" Samsung telly for my sons bedroom. Freeview HD, wifi, enough inputs for his consoles. £249.99 with a five year guarantee from John Lewis, £279.99 in Currys and out of stock.

A telly is, more or less, a telly to me. I don't want the characters on screen joining me on the sofa or owt.

I NEED A LARGE DRINK  ::) ::)

Finally opted for the Asus monitor, got fed up of waiting fora price match to come through to save a tenner, only to get my card declined on a fraud check.

30 mins later after going through card security with my bank it gets the payment authorised.

Dare I shop for a new 4gb video card . . . .  :-X

I picked up a 1Gb SSD to shove in one of the servers to act as a cache.

But I might abandon that idea as not convinced it will make a jot of difference TBH.

Because people aren't quite as stupid as commerce would like, and everyone bought in too much cheap, old tat not realising that noone would bother going to the shops to buy any of it ::)
