Due to the seller sending me the wrong cambelt kit - well the belt and the idler are correct but the backplate isn't for a Vauxhall V6, it looks like a tensioner for a diesel    I urgently need a V6 Cambelt Kit.

I don't suppose anyone has a new one for sale at a resonable price and can get it to me for the weekend?

Thing is I could get the complete Contitech kit from ECP (only store with stock is Tamworth) and just get this kit returned for a full refund.... and driving to Tamworth is far more preferable than going to the other side of Birmingham whatever route you take.

In any event it looks like they are sold out of the AC Delco kits. So you couldn't order them anyway. Which is a pity, as any alternatives seem to be £120 - £170 or even more which is double that of a year ago.

obviously ,you will need to re use the back plate IF incorrect for your car

if you want to bin the delco belts and buy Gates Timing Belt 5453XS (just the belt) then add 2 Delco kits for the idler bearings ,total is £62.16 delivered

just the belt clicky £22.18

a complete Gates kit is sub £100 on ebay

Cheers all. Well seller has been in contact, asked me for reg no to check kit 

I explained to them that the part number on the box is correct, the belt is correct, the idler is correct, the spacer and bolts are correct.... but an Audi TDi aux belt tensioner is not going to be a viable replacement for a GM  backplate and tensioners

Not sure where you've seen a complete Gates kit for sub £100 on eBay, cheapest I have seen is £114, but no good to me as can't get it in time (working away so can't pickup etc)

I've got piles of backplates etc in the shed (7 Omega's and probably around 15 cambelts in that time!) - not that i'd need one as obviously use the old one but, of course, no new tensioner and idler to use!

I search part numbers after checking compatibility on Gates autocat etc  because compatibility on ebay is rubbish 
plus i'm stingy

Yeh, cambelt kits aren't usually a problem, I just buy either SKF, Gates or Genuine GM old stock... Just got caught out this time!

is there not any factors near you that have one in stock or a member who has a spare kit .i am up in west yorks but someeone nearer will surely have one ?
