Always use the sunroof on both our Elites. Really miss it on the CD. The minute the sun is out, open goes the roof ;) :y

I'm the same. Unless the temperature has reached the high twenties, and then it's time for the A/C.
A sunroof is the second main reason for insisting on an Elite: they didn't do a 3.0l CD

What is the number one reason,Nick?

They were useful in the day when a lot of passion was going on in the back seats ... useful for either letting the steam out or putting a pair of legs through  :-* :-* ;D

I'd really miss not having one.  I don't always have it open, sometimes just with the sunshade back.

It's one key reason I went for an XJ over an XF.

Problems I've had? On the Rover, the frame rusted through, as Rover BMW decided it didn't need anticorrosion, causing a leak  >:(. Replaced with best one from scrappy, after removing about 6 ;D.  On the Elite, the paint flaked off frame, which detracts from its looks.  I meant to swap with the MFL one before scrapping, but forgot.

Apart from the shitbox Focus and the Nova, every car I've had has had a sunroof :y

Well, I'd  have to drive down to Kidlington somewhere near Oxford to view the car. My biggest fear is that it would look pretty good in the flesh and I'd end up making an expensive and impulsive purchase.....

Racks brain, trying to think what dealers are in the motor city estate in Kidlington.  Can't see Opti going for Renault or Nissan, so must be a nice diesel Insignia ;D

Sunroofs pointless things, I actively look to shut the blind on my 3.2 to reduce wind roar at motorway speeds.
