So....  Whats the plan?   Anyone want this sooner, or rather wait until the boring bandit weather of 'springtime'?

ATC hut is a basic out of the rain/weather type place but easily the best bet for a hut in the middle of nowhere that is cheap, cannot bother neighbours and lets you fart in bed without the wife objecting.....

OK.

This hut is not that far from the big wide world but far enough that when its dark, then there are no street lights or anything to disturb the sky.  Star spotters paradise....  Its remote, no passing cars, no electricity (other than a genny I can bring) and you have to dump in a tin when you need to go or bring a spade....  Running water is either the tap in the ranger toilets or the stream, if its not frozen.  Bed is whatever foam (or air) matress and sleeping bag you brought alongwith a selection of warm clothing....  The views, however, are stupendous and the air as clear as a clear thing......

It can be an absolutetly cracking weekend with a BBQ, central cooking (I am volunteering, if needed....) hillwalking, own entertainment, roughing it type sleeping arrangements, stargazing beyond belief, cheap booze (coz you brought your own) sheep and deer on the hillsides etc.

Just need some folks to say when they want to go, other than wimp out and say 'when its sunny'......   :y

Should we wait until we have the "all weekend meet" which H21 is putting together or should we have one more sunday afternoon meet for a few hours, I thought the last one at North Queensferry was a great sucess with the biggest turn out yet!, and I also thought that the hotel car park was a great place to have a meet, what are your thoughts

Happy enough to go with the carpark idea meantime with the Glen Clova bothy concept for later in the spring.  Only potential drawback with the later spring date is hut availability......

Agreed, I think we need to go firm on a date soon for the Glen Clove meet, No.1 for the avaliabliaty of the bothy and No.2 so members can plan time of work if they know the dates well in advance etc, and No.3 So we can book good weather ;D ;D
