Ford Focus 2015
« on: 19 July 2017, 19:45:59 »

Does anyone know how to get in too a keyless entry Focus that has a flat battery
My friend says they have just a fob
I looked online and found something which involves taking the fob apart and then there is a key blade inside which can remove a cover and then exposes a lock barrel
Any ideas guys  :y

On the wife's Renault: There is a button you press on the side of the key fob which releases a blade. There is a keyhole on the passenger door which you put the key in. Voila.

Don't know why you guys can't use google

One thing to consider with any older car that is always locked off the fob is that there is a good chance that the key lock will be seized if you need to use it.

That shouldn't be the case in a 2015 car though.

Do you still have to open the bonnet on these things with the key?

Yes that link is correct, although you can put the "T" piece of the blade into the fob[so the blade is at right angles to the fob]and then you've got the fob for a little extra leverage. No Tidla the bonnet release is now on a lever inside the car instead of in the grille-Transits may still be an exception, but I've not looked at one of those for a while.

Jag is same, a real key hidden in the fob.

The manual lock is hidden on passenger side though, not sure if that's because it needs mucho friggin and safer to do from pavement, or (more likely) designed for the Shermans. Hence bonnet release is that side.
