HBV vacuum pipe
« on: 19 September 2006, 19:58:18 »

Hi guys , anyone help on this one.  Heater won't get hot  or even warm. I have no vacuum when i take the pipe off of the HBV with the engine running. No vac in any positon from hi down to low. Have blown through this pipe & can hear air passing from some where to the lower right of the glove box. Also done a smoke test & smoke is coming from that area as well. I presume that the other end of this pipe has come off from the vacuum supply. Does anyone know where it should go onto after it passes through the bulkhead & where abouts it is located . I'd like some help prior to trying to dismantle the dash board & electronic air control panel &messing it all up. Thanks guys,  Big Al

Soz, don't know where it goes, but it will be to one of the solenoids there, and the solenoid is driven by ECC unit...

Unless someones knows better, its gonna be a glovebox out job I suspect, but may be worth just taking off the cardboard bit and the footwell distribution pipe to see it that gives enough access...
