Similar spec to mine, auto with flappy paddles, think mine is the little one only 210bhp.

The 9-3 four pots topped out at 210bhp, 260-300 was available from the 2.8T v6 depending on year/spec. The 2.3T in the 9-5's went up to 230-260bhp from the factory depending on the year.

The 2.3T was available in the previous (wedge shaped) 9-3, but only in limited numbers (special edition called the Viggen, with 230bhp).

I've owned 2, both Y reg 9-5 aero, one 230bhp and bone stock. The other had a remap 3" downpipe and a better FPR which generated 295bhp and 325 ft lbs. Both were rubbish at the traffic light grand Prix, and the mapped car would easily spin it's wheels in 3rd on wet surfaces. But, they're barges, not B-road attack vehicles.

What they really excelled at was the 40-80mph pull in 3rd that allowed fast and safe overtaking. The seats were also second only to Volvo in the comfort stakes. (with the caveat that I've never owned an elite omega, which I understand are excellent).

As a quick cheap barge, I love them, and an estate is high on the list to replace the terracan.

Oil and filter change on Mrs. AA's Astra, DIY cost £21.22 oil & filter using TC. Slightly less as it only takes 4.5ltrs. of oil.

Reliability of LPG pumps were shocking, couple I used the filler would get super cold. Had to be quick in releasing.

Only LPG pump I've ever managed to freeze myself to is the one for the winches at the gliding club, and that was at an air temperature of about -5, and the filling mechanism was a bit "agricultural"*.

* - open the bleed screw and when the gas stops coming out and liquid starts, the tank has reached 80% fill. :o

I got burnt by an LPG pump a few years ago. It stung quite a lot for several days.
But as you know TB, a bit of pain never hurt anyone.  ;)

That's why when you fill a gas truck up you wear gloves. :)
