Wheel balancing is part of the process of a tyre change though i'm sure WIM would be happy enough to check the balance of your wheels even if you didn't have new boots.

I'll have the Headunit, display and associated parts and possibly the front bumper if you break it!

If you book in advance, car transport is not expensive.. and would save you the worry of getting pulled over...

I am commuting in it, down the lanes!

Yikes !

It drives fine, just looks a bit of a mess
But how much of a mess would it make of a pedestrian/cyclist/biker/horse if a bump was to occur.

Might be worth a quick call to Traffic to see what they say?

I think  ::) that it has to be able to meet MOT standard and that's about it. Could be wrong though!

Just general maintenance now, steering idler arm and a trip to WIM.

Where you'll find out that your wishbones are shot if it's still on the originals!  :D
.

Yup.... done over 30k on these tires too  :o

Be interesting to see if the 'lighter' engines cause the bushes to wear as fast.

Incidently, i've stopped using Shell Balsall Common and Shell Hatton as i've had my card cloned at one of them (according to the local rag i'm not the only one either).

Perhaps the battery is just moved forwards a bit more than normal.

The cable on mine runs under the black plastic shrouds.

While I've been hunting for a facelift MV6 bumper i've found most dismantlers will only sell the front end panels together (two wings, bumper, bonnet), at least that way you should get a good colour match.

Megavaux have a star silver car in at the moment:- http://www.megavaux.co.uk/Vehicle.aspx?Reg=FH51PYU

The wing is designed to do that in a corner impact, it absorbs the energy. the mounting points are also slotted so that the wing can be adjusted for panel gap thus the wing has a degree of movement when it meets something hard! Chassis issues at the front usually affect the A post.

Agree the chassis should be checked though.

Any car that goes to an accident repair centre will have the bill ramped up i'm afraid, easy money for the repair centres.
