She never helps herself...

She added: “For all of my career as an MP I have thought it important not to live in a bubble, but to mix and mingle with ordinary people.

been working from home now about 16 years,
the office moved from 11 miles away to 33, and the wrong side of York,
3/4 of the staff work from home, no point driving an hour each way when I am on site locally,

dont forget once upon a time we thought using asbestos in buildings was a good idea,

this was a new material totally untested,
only after a few years did someone decide its not very long lasting,

That probably explains why we could not get a police presence yesterday, even when the fire officer rang them,
I closed half the town for a dangerous structure,
and still people walked through the tape and under the falling roof,

....at Asda this morning. £1.38.7p for petrol. £1.38.7p for diesel.

I know as much about the price derv as I know about the price of fish.

However, I have noticed the price of fuel at Tesco is 5-10p a litre more than petrol stations I pass on main roads. How come? >:D

because they can... they work on the lazy folk who think a supermarket must be cheap

The UK doesnt vote Prime Ministers in. Never has.

In fairness, when we vote for a party at a general election we know who that Party's leader is (and so who will likely become PM).

In Sunak's case, he was planted elected PM by party MPs, not even the grassroots. I very much doubt he would have been PM if he had been party leader at the last election.

Oh I don't know, given the calibre of Labour's offering!  ::) ;D

we run a polling station each election, every time we get a few asking "I cant see mr starmer on this list"  they never seem to grasp the principle.
