« on: 30 June 2014, 19:44:11 »
First time user with a DA polisher, The machine is a 750W 2,500-6,800 RPM with 6 settings, Took 6 hours roughly to do the roof, boot lid, one rear wing.  :-X

The results are much better IMO...  :y

Not looking forward to doing the rest of the car though  ;D

There was a bit of a shock near to the end, One of the foam pads exploded  :o

Omega General Help / V6 Cambelt
« on: 26 June 2014, 20:19:16 »
Will be doing the cambelt on the 3.2 this summer, I have the Laser timing tool kit ready.

Will also most likely be going down the genuine cambelt kit from a VX dealer presuming it isn't ridiculously expensive, If the kit is more than I thought there are some websites or cambelt kit brands that are recommended by OOF members other than GM ?

Also what else should i change while i'm doing the cambelt kit, If it makes a difference car isn't far off 200k...

Thanks in advance...  :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Parking Sensors Constant Tone
« on: 14 June 2014, 23:51:01 »
As soon as it's in reverse there's a constant tone, But sometimes as you come closer to something they start beeping again, Then the constant tone sometimes starts again then it's fine again, Annoying most definitely.

Considering unplugging them at this rate...

Any idea what's up with it?, Has the ParkPilot box had it  :-\

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Dash Cam Power Sorce
« on: 11 June 2014, 14:31:28 »
I'm planning on wiring a power feed from the reading light area (for a dash cam) This dash cam if it helps... http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FKTQ3NE/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_1LfMtb1SA5XJY

I want to use the same power source as the line that the camera starts recording as soon as I unlock my doors. (and stays on 5 minutes after the car is shut off or however long the timer is set at)... Could someone point me in the right direction ideally with a picture :)

Has anyone done this before ?.. I don't fancy using the cigarette lighter to power the bloody thing wires dangling all over the place.

Also would this be possible to do with a rear dash cam also with one of the rear side reading lights ?

Thanks in advance  :y

General Discussion Area / EE Sim Card Pre-Loaded
« on: 02 June 2014, 06:39:09 »
Seems like a good deal... £15 credit and 10GB Internet which lasts 90 days...

Getting roughly 12mbps on EE here on a MiFi, Not as fast as THREE at around 20mbps. Seems more stable on EE and at this price definaty giving this sim a try  :y

(There are different sim sizes available or you can just use the adapter you get these days usually)

Omega General Help / A/C HP Valve Part Number
« on: 30 May 2014, 18:32:25 »
Is this 13277003 the correct part number for the High Pressure valve for a 3.2 FL saloon ?

Was informed it's leaking from there. Typical it chooses  to piss it all out when it's hot  ::)

Thanks...
