hello dear friends !
Does anyone know where I can buy engine mounts for Omega A 3.0 24v???
I think they are very stunned, the exhaust manifold is a bit lower…
In fast starts the propshaft knocks in the botom of the car…. everyting is new….Only the engine mounts are missing :D
Thanks mates! :D:D

I've known that happen on a Carlton. The cause then was the prop shaft central joint rubber mounting was shot.
-
Engine mounts for the C30SE are so hard to find, almost impossible.
I do know someone who used the 3.0V6 mounts.
A small amount of modification is required but achevible
-
My Carlton had dampers on the engine mounts (smaller versions of boot struts) when these failed, felt like propshaft bush had gone.
-
Pretty sure my Senator had those as well. Sounds like it could be an answer to the op issue.
-
Yes Senators[at least in 12v form]had those dampers,whether or not they're still available I don't know.
-
Just need to measure them and look on Google I would guess. They should have all the numbers on the plastic case.
-
All the six cylinder cars from 1978 had them
I have had engine mounts split in half
This them tore the gearbox mount which allowed the engine to "move" when cornering

I mates!!! :D ;)
I already tried to find everywhere and nothing .... So nobody ever changed those engine mounts???
All I can do, is make some... ::)
I've changed all rubbers and center mount of the propshaft and the knocks below continue wen I make a hard take off... :'(

Time to think outside the box...
Pre 1990 Holden Commodore from Pedders.
Chevrolet Omega from Brazil.
Ebay.de for Omega A.
Any BMW 6 cylinder one...
Someone like Larkspeed or Summit Racing
Know your dimensions and get digging :y

Doctor Gollum, that's right!!! 8)
I will do a research about engine mounts and dampers!!! :D
-
Just a random thought, but if it's happening during fast starts could it be the rear suspension bushes or diff mounts allowing "axle tramp"?
-
Could be the rear donuts

On a similar note. There is a 1993 12v Senator for sale on Autoshite for a three figure sum. Looks half decent.

There can only be so many silent dinners. If I asked permission to buy any of the cars or bikes Ive had over the years I would be travelling by bus most of my life.

I already change the rear donuts and check diff bushes :-\
