You can still buy the NavDisc but it'd be cheaper to buy another car...

If you mean the rams...? Then yes, can't remember if they have actual springs on them or not...?

Thanks
Yes the rams are gas springs :)

Then yes please :)
Boot hinges and rear gas struts are £36/pair + £8.40 mainland UK postage/carrier.

Ill leave them at that price please. Too much for me...

Thanks

The moors along Winter Hill overlooking Bolton have also been ablaze for a couple of days. The latest Iv heard is its out but there a people on watch in-case it goes up again.... I had the smoke from there filling our area of Wigan and you could literally taste the smoke as well as smell it..

General Discussion Area / Zero hour contracts
« on: 23 June 2018, 23:53:53 »
Hello folks, not been on for quite a while since regrettably scrapping my Omega Elite :(

Anyhoo, I believe I work to a ZERO hour contract, where I have a start time (6:30 AM) and no guaranteed finish time, paid on a day rate rather than hourly rate.

Iv not been getting home on average, earlier than 7:30PM regularly. Last night for example I got home at 9PM - this has happened more times than I can count, it has sometimes got to 10PM. As you can imagine I got a bit pissed off at the hours and my now ex-boss wouldn't or just couldn't be arsed to see if I could change my hours so that I see my family.

Today I told him I quit as I have another job to start on Tuesday next week. My now ex-boss has said I need to give/work a weeks notice before I can quit, I believe I am not obliged to work any notice.

Any advice to say if I have to give/work a weeks notice.

I have been employed by them since March 1st 2018

General Discussion Area / Re: My plasma television has gone tit's up.
« on: 22 February 2018, 11:44:02 »
Iv got a 50" Panasonic plasma, had it for about 7 years and it still a very clear bright and sharp picture, this replaced another 1st generation Pioneer 50" plasma thats still going strong and must be around 18 years old by now... I swapped the Toshiba 36" flatscreen (weighed around 95KG !!!!) that I had bought as a refurbed unit from a place I used to work as a TV installer/engineer and the fella I got the Pioneer from said it cost just shy of £3K when it was new...

It had a seperate screen and media box and didnt even have freeview built into it... and no HDMI input but I had it running in HD with hoe I connected it up...

Is it not because your pension is above a certain tax threshold....?

In other words, you must have a good private pension.... combined with the state pension....?

I was, only because the M60/M61 was proper clogged up and it was easier to go through Bury and Bolton to get home from Middleton than it was to go on the M60/M61....

Was that your Merc up on the ramps t'other day Andy....? Quickshit in Bury....? Went passed on Monday afternoon after collecting my son from his mates.....

My 2.4 V70 estate tows our tintent quite well, doesn't struggle at all, the Omega did TBH could never make up its mind what gear it wanted to be in...

We've been looking at the Kia Sirrento's too, but I want the 3.2 DERV with autobox, should tow our tintent easily.

Don't get me wrong, the V70 does a good job towing, is cumfy and economical, but Iv never really jelled with it....

Who else knew it was holocaust day...?

That lad basically got away with murder.... but was charged with manslaughter, fleeing the scene of an accident and death by dangerous driving. Speeding was never mentioned as a charge, it was only hearsay and not fact... it was calculated that they hit a tree at and estimate of 80MPH...

The sentence he got was possibly the maximum he could get because of his age, but he did get 9 years but will only serve 4 1/2, probably be let out and not have to face the family, his name will be changed and relocate with his family to a different part of the country, like James Bulgers killers got, even though 'John Venables' is back in jail again for child porn....again....
